Company Profile / Biography
David Jeavons, proprietor of PolybridgeTraining Ltd, has spent his whole working life in the Injection Moulding Industry.
Upon leaving engineering college in 1969 he served a 4yr indentured apprenticeship with GKN Sankey's Plastic Division, which was then one of Europes technology leaders, using robotic take out devices (Unimate) and developing thermosetting technologies as well as structural foam techniques (TSG). On completion of this apprenticeship his career moved to materials technology, primarily thermoset resins & polyether foams.
1979 saw a move to the Rubber and Plastics Research Associatiob(RAPRA) as an Experimental officer with responsibility for injection moulding.
Activities during this time were the utilisation of their Netstal SyCaP and Hunkar equiped Stubbe machines with respect heat transfer investigations. This role also involved casting of aluminium protoype mouldsby the "Wheeldon" casting process, as well as other methods such as metal spray shell cavities.
After a period with 2 well known trade moulders he worked on behalf of The Ford Motor Company during the introduction in SPC througout their organisation & their suppliers. The late 1980's saw him as part of the PPITB as a technical instructor, moving to become Technical Manager with NETSTAL UK Ltd, eventually leading to the foundation of Polybridge in 1991.
Since the mid 1990's he has been closely involved with ENGEL UK Ltd, providing training and technical support on their behalf.
Formed in 1991 Polybridge Training Ltd has built a reputation for customer specific, bespoke training worldwide.
